Medina Cecunjanin, LCSW

Medina is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Connecticut. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Medina has worked in various school settings and agencies and in private practice, serving adults, adolescents, children, parents, and families. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child-Parent Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy.

Medina helps clients understand why they struggle in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment. Utilizing play, art, CBT, and psychotherapy, Medina helps clients gain a deeper understanding of their suffering while helping them develop essential communication and coping skills to reduce symptoms. Together with her clients, she will work to create a therapeutic space to address complex issues of trauma, depression, anxiety, identity, learning, and behavior. 

She provides life coaching for anyone looking to make a courageous change in their personal or professional lives. She helps clients learn how to set healthy boundaries and lead healthy lifestyles. 

Medina believes that positive relationships built on respect, understanding, and trust can heal. She supports her clients from a place of empathy by providing conflict resolution training and social and emotional skill building. Her clients experience her as warm, nonjudgmental, and nurturing.
