Thoughts From Liz: ✍️ As I write this, there are eight days until the Spring Equinox on March 19th, 2024. Even though I know weather can be nasty after this shift in the earth's position, somehow I feel hopeful every year when I see the first shoots of the crocuses and daffodils pop up (some years through the snow). 🌱The green life beginning its annual reassertion helps me see that all is right in the universe despite my doubts and hourly apprehensions. My ego fears the loss of the delusion of control, and yet this all-encompassing entity we call "nature" or "Life" is always moving forward. (without my input, suggestions, or permission, imagine that!) ✨Even in the darkest times in my small world, a new season will come, a new rhythm will take hold, and I have learned to (mostly) trust this process. ☮️ The many metaphors of nature can be seen as trite or obvious, and yes, they can be. Seasons shifting, light increasing life-renewing, and these are things we can all be sure of in a world that feels a tad unpredictable, and that is a great comfort to me. In the deepest sense, we are part of Nature, and in her rhythms and patterns, we can find deep comfort and solace. I hope you can stay hopeful for the flowering and opening of spring in your own life. 🌈 After a very long fallow season, we will heal and grow, perhaps in a way we now object to, maybe in a manner that does not tickle. Nevertheless, we grow as the roots awaken soon all around us.Pay attention, and you will see hope. 🌼
