Meet Dr. Mary Murphy on this episode of Insight Counseling’s podcast, “Insight Says”.

Dr. Murphy is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in counseling, executive functioning, academic coaching, and biofeedback. She is the Director of Psychology and Testing Services at Insight Counseling.

She completed her PhD doctoral training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and fellowship training at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Murphy also holds a Connecticut state license in substance abuse counseling.  She has extensive training and experience in psychological testing needed to diagnose children and adults. A large part of her current practice is providing comprehensive psychological evaluations needed for student 504s and IEPs. Her counseling practice focuses on helping adolescents and adults with ADHD, concussion, depression, anxiety, and substance use.

Meet Liz Jorgensen in the first episode of Insight Counseling’s new mental health and counseling podcast, “Insight Says”.

Liz Jorgensen has 30 years experience as a psychotherapist specializing in adolescent psychotherapy and substance abuse counseling. She is a nationally recognized expert in substance abuse counseling, engaging resistant teens and motivating them to change. She is also a consultant to independent schools and agencies and is a popular speaker on parenting pre-teens and teenagers. She has presented nationally, including at Harvard University and Dartmouth College. She is also a recipient of a Congressional Award for her work as an educator and community prevention activist. Liz worked for 18 years at Danbury Hospital, where she helped develop all the adolescent substance abuse and Dual Diagnosis programs. She is the Owner and Director of Insight Counseling LLC. Liz is a gifted speaker and her parenting programs routinely receive outstanding reviews.

We are excited to announce our new mental health and counseling podcast, “Insight Says”! Our show will feature therapists, psychologists, nurse practitioners and other clinicians from Insight Counseling LLC in Ridgefield, Connecticut. This new show is for anyone curious about mental health such as teens, adults (like parents), and prospective students.
