Patricia Bragdon, PHD, LCSW-R

With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Patricia Bragdon specializes in supporting adolescents and their families as they navigate complex mental health challenges, including eating disorders, school refusal, anxiety, depression, substance use, self-harm, and grief. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Dr. Bragdon brings deep expertise in adolescent mental health and has worked in high school settings for more than two decades. She is particularly skilled at collaborating with schools to advocate for students whose emotional or behavioral health has disrupted their academic progress.
Dr. Bragdon holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University and a PhD from New York University. She has developed a particular specialization in grief, bereavement, and end-of-life issues. She completed advanced training at Columbia University’s Center for Complicated Grief and is a certified grief counselor. Her approach helps individuals process their grief, reclaim their sense of identity, and move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
A compassionate and dedicated clinician, Dr. Bragdon is also a founding member of Ann’s Place, a nonprofit cancer support agency based in Danbury, CT. She has extensive experience supporting individuals and families coping with chronic and life-threatening illnesses, offering guidance through some of life’s most difficult transitions.
