Rosa believes in the service of teaching yoga and meditation and offers spiritual guidance. As a veteran teacher for nearly three decades, Rosa holds a Masters’ degree in the field of Education, speaking four languages. Additionally, she is an experienced registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. She has extensive training in several schools of meditation both western (Centering prayer-Christian meditation) and eastern (Vipassana Insight meditation and Mindfulness). Rosa has completed a formation course of study in the Saint Cyril of Jerusalem School with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, with an emphasis in meditation, Ignatian spirituality and St. Benedict’s twelve-step guide. She teaches teens and adults classes, workshops and offers private sessions.
Holding ‘sacred space’ is the focus of her teaching and guidance. The practice of yoga/meditation and spiritual guidance is a prayer of body, mind, heart and spirit. It yokes our ability to find our Higher Power in times of light and darkness: “You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.”- T. Merton
