Dr. Chu describes her approach to treatment:
“Adolescents and young adults are a key focus of my practice, including those who may struggle with substance abuse and other disorders such as depression, anxiety, or another mood disorder. I am passionate about providing support and guidance to young people and their families at a critical juncture in their lives. I work to get comprehensive family history data and information from several sources, including high-quality psychological testing, and spend a great deal of time with patients in order to make the best decisions about diagnosis and care. I try to tailor the most efficient medication regimen with the fewest medications possible to make a meaningful difference in a person’s quality of life. I also believe in a holistic and integrative approach and collaborate with many other professionals to optimize physical and mental well-being. My goal is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care that takes into account the biological and psychological factors that are part of each person’s unique makeup.”
